Paul Van Fossen

Paul Juan Van Fossen, 71, of Byron, Georgia passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family. Funeral services to honor his life will be held Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home. There will be a time of visitation one hour prior in the funeral home.
Paul was born in Lancaster, Ohio to William Roger Van Fossen and Juanita Eileen (Woodard) Van Fossen. After high school he went on to spend 8 years in the U.S. Navy where he served during the Vietnam War. Later he was the cornerstone of Boeing where he worked for 25 years. Paul was a faithful fan of Ohio State football and basketball where he never missed a game, he also loved visiting family in Ohio and taking annual anniversary trips to Savannah.
Mr. Van Fossen is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Debra Van Fossen; his children: Trey Van Fossen, Alice (Franklin) Thomas, Joseph Van Fossen, Heather Van Fossen & Austin Van Fossen. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Lydia Van Fossen, Felix Van Fossen, Oliver Van Fossen, Nolan Thomas, Ansleigh Thomas & Dillan Thomas; two sisters: Susan Conner and Cathy Mangini; his aunt Pat Toney and several foster children. However, Paul will be very missed by all who knew him.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and Kenny Tony.
