Paul Dean Carmichael, 90, of Macon, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Funeral services to honor his life will be held on Tuesday, October 14, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home with Chaplain, Brad Blackman officiating. Immediately following, Mr. Carmichael will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
Mr. Carmichael was born on November 2, 1934, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. Joe F. Carmichael and Mrs. Lois Smith Carmichael. Over the years, he worked for Colonial Bakery, Big Star Food Service, and the city of Macon, before retiring from the Medical Center of Central Georgia. In his free time, Mr. Carmichael loved to travel.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Carmichael was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Robinson, James Carmichael, and Ray Carmichael.
Left to cherish Mr. Carmichael's memory are his brother, Charles Carmichael and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Traditions Health Hospice for the exceptional and compassionate care provided to Mr. Carmichael. Your kindness, support, and dedication brought great comfort to him and to all who loved him during his final days, and the family will forever be thankful for your gentle presence and unwavering care.
