Patricia "Pat" Ann Hicks

Patricia "Pat" Ann Hicks, cherished mother, sister, and devoted grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21st, 2025, in her hometown of Macon, Georgia, at the age of 88. Known for her warmth, elegance, and love of fashion, Pat touched countless lives through her work and presence in the community.

Born on Wednesday, February 10th, 1937, Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas O'Reilly Jr. and Hattie O'Reilly. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Roy Hicks, and her dear son, James Roy "Jimmy" Hicks, Jr.

A lifelong resident of Macon, Pat dedicated her career as a Sales Associate, skillfully working for Dress Barn and JC Penney. Known for her impeccable style and keen eye, she helped many look their best and feel confident. Pat was especially passionate about organizing fashion shows for local area churches, bringing joy and a touch of glamour to the community.

Pat's hobbies and interests reflected her vibrant personality; she enjoyed coin collecting, the tranquility of flower gardening, and was an avid reader. Her motto, "Put on a good face, dressed to a T," was evident in every endeavor she took on.

Pat leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: her son, Johnny Ronald "Ronnie" Hicks; daughters, Lisa (Greg) Wade and Jennifer Rodriguez; a brother, Thomas O'Reilly, III; sisters, Harriett Holliday and Sandra Smith. She was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren; Joshua Hicks, Joseph Hicks, Sarah Carroll, Bubba Bernard, Gregory Wade, Matthew Wade, Corey Wade, Zachary Hicks, Taylor Hicks, Caroline Clatterbuck, Skyla Guigou, and the great-grandmother to 24 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor Pat's life will be held at Avondale Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia, on Friday, December 26th, 2025, at 2:00 pm, officiated by Reverend Marty Watson. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place at the church from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, providing friends and family with an opportunity to gather in remembrance and love.

Patricia Ann Hicks will be fondly remembered for her dedicated service, her unwavering love for her family, and her lasting contributions to her community. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
