Pamela Candler

May 31, 1945 — November 25, 2020

Pamela Noyes Candler, 75, of Macon, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. A memorial service will be held in the future when circumstances allow her friends and family to safely gather to celebrate her life.

Mrs. Candler was born on May 31, 1945, in Ft. Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma to the late Col. Melville Noyes and Ruth Babcock Noyes. Pam retired as an administrator for the Division of the Professional Licensing Boards with the Georgia Secretary of State and she worked in the commodities department at Georgia Farm Bureau for 25 years. Pam was an avid animal lover and cherished her relationships with many pets throughout her life. Pam was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and a member of Daughter of the Kings with St. Francis Episcopal Church. Pam enjoyed many activities such as eating good greasy hamburger and fries, watching UGA Football, Golf, reading smutty novels, watching endless Hallmark movies, and spending time with her grandchild, Robyn. Pam had an outrageous sense of humor and often described herself as a misunderstood, recalcitrant woman who had strong opinions and did not mind sharing them with anyone and everyone. She was a devoted partner, Mom, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend to many.

Mrs. Candler was preceded in death by her life partner of 47 years, Jimmy "Jack" Wray.

Mrs. Candler is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Candler (Tara Moscardelli); granddaughter, Robyn, sister, Penny (Phil) Sharpe, nephews, Steve Sharpe and Christopher (Melissa) Sharpe. Niece, Christina (Victor) Aguirre and her animal companion, Dolly.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pam's favorite ministry, Haitian Hope, Inc. P.O. Box 7326 Macon, Georgia 31209 or St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Macon, Georgia
