Otis Smith

Otis J. Smith, 85, of Macon, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Lance Merritt will officiate. The family will have time of visitation on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. till service time in the funeral home.
Born in Tifton, Georgia, he was the son of the late C.R. Lynch and Alda Hadden Lynch. He was a retired Superintendent for Bassett Furniture Company.
Mr. Smith was an U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the Cross Keys United Methodist Church in Macon. He was an avid Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket fan and was looking forward to the upcoming football season. He was preceded in death by his beloved black lab of 14 years, "CC".
He is survived by his wife, June W. Smith, children, William R. "Smitty" Smith and Cindy Smith Evans (Jeff); Grandchildren, Jeffery Chad Evans(Patricia), Christopher Ricky Evans(Rebecca), and Allison Brandy Smith McDaniel(Brent); great grandchildren, Avery Caroline Evans and Brentley Layne McDaniel and one on the way.
