Nora Faye Peavy Davis, 67, of Macon, passed away peacefully with her loving and
caring family by her side on Thursday, January 12, 2017. Graveside Funeral Services
to celebrate her life will be held Monday, January 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at
Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Bro. Clyde Evans officiating. The family will have a
time of visitation to greet friends Sunday 5:00-7:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home,
4989 Mt. Pleasant Church Road.
Born on April 8,1949 to the late Collis and Myrtle Peavy, Faye was a 1967 graduate
of McEvoy High School. She was married to Freddie Davis for 49 years and took
on the hardest and most rewarding role of her life as a homemaker. Her greatest
accomplishments were her children. She had a zest for life and loved her family and
friends wholeheartedly. She was a member of Houston Heights Baptist
Church, where in her earlier years she taught Sunday School to 5 & 6 year
olds. She loved to shop, cook and do yard work, but her biggest joy was
spending time with her grandkids. She will always be remembered as a selfless,
giving wife and mother who always had a smile even when times were tough. She had a
quiet strength and was strong in her faith.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Freddie Davis. Three children; Jeffery
Davis (Karen), Kenneth Davis, and Kimberly Cook (Richard Cook, Jr.). Four
grandchildren; Noah Cook, Christian Cook, Fayth Cook and Summer Davis. One
Step-Grandson; Chandler Lacy, as well as two siblings; Ray Peavy (Miki) and Carol
Graham (Pat). But her caring and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
