Net Woodard

N.E. "Woody" Woodard, 82, of Eatonton, Georgia passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home, Macon at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Reverend J.T. Smith will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. The family will be gathering at 126 Ryan Drive, Macon Georgia.
Born in Cordele, Georgia he was the son of the late John Amos Woodard and Mable Bodrey Woodard. He was the husband of the late Joyce Smith Woodard. He was retired from Armstrong Industries and was preceded in death by a sister, Dora Mae Knight.
Mr. Woodard was an avid NASCAR fan, he loved to race and win at the old Byron/ Middle Georgia Speedway, and he loved the outdoors.
He is survived by his children, Randy Woodard(Cindy), David Woodard(Linda), Jody Woodard (Amy), Cynthia Woodard Jordan, Veronica Hatfield(Art), Chuck Shipes (Kathy), Ray Shipes (Sheila), and Dottie Ann Shelton(James). Brothers, John Woodard (Cindy), Willie Woodard (Lisa) and Sister, Ruth Busbee. Eighteen Grandchildren and Thirty two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request that donations be made in honor of "Woody" to either Pine Pointe Hospice or The Alzheimer's Association.
