Nancy Elizabeth Riezinger Cates

Nancy Elizabeth Riezinger Cates, 77, of Macon, passed away Saturday, September 10th, 2022, at her home surrounded by loved ones. A celebration of her life will be held on September 15th, 2022, between the hours of 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM at her residence.
Ms. Cates was born on August 28th, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Mr. John Raymond Riezinger and Mrs. Esther Mae Holman Riezinger. She worked for Dr. Ellis Evans as an office manager for 48 plus years. She was a devoted sister, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, bird watching, short road trips, and treating her family to homecooked meals on Sunday. She was a beautiful soul who will be greatly missed.
Ms. Cates was preceded in death by her sisters Barbara Lucas, Susan Califf, Cathy Minter; and son-in-law, Wiley O. Lewis Jr.
Ms. Cates is survived by her daughters: Denise Cates Lewis, Jennifer Cates Williams (Tripp), and Stephanie Cates (Jimmy); granddaughters, Jessica Lewis and Megan Williams; siblings, Bobby Riezinger (Marie), Danny Reizinger (Pat), Mary Hendrick (Terry); brother-in-law, James Califf; and the beloved Cates family.
