Myrtis Giddens Cartledge: 67, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2015 at Coliseum Hospital after a brief battle with issues related to cancer with her niece, Trina Gordon and daughter, Heather by her side.
Myrtis was born September 30, 1947 in Sanford, Florida. She was raised in Macon, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Carlton Giddens and Marvin Giddens, her sisters, Lois Smith and Doris McBurney and her daughter, Melodie Andrews.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather Sanderson, two sisters, Catherine Scheer and Gail Carcanague and brother, W.J. (Jeff) Giddens; eight grandchildren, Kristen , Jessica, Melissa, Taylor, Kayla, Jeremiah, Jacob, and Melodie. Great grandchildren, Daniel, Melanie, and Mitchell. She also leaves behind numerous loving family members and friends.
A memorial will be determined at a later date, so that other family might be able to attend.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, kind words and compassion shown during our time of loss
