Mildred Jones Durden Walker, 88, of Macon, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will held Monday, May 2, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Born in Macon, on April 30, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Jones Sr. and Mary Powell Jones.
She was a member of the Pine Forest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Ricky Durden, brother, Robert Lee Jones, Jr. and sister, Katherine Jones.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer Durden Shipp (Larry) of Macon; Leon Madison Durden Jr (Mona) of Monticello, Ga.; Kathryn Walker Jones (Adam) of Macon. Grandchildren, Joey Shipp (Traci), Danny Shipp (Cynthia), Chad Shipp (Danielle), Randy Durden, Kristy Horn (Nathan), Michael Jones, Lindsay Davis (Chris), 15 great grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.
