Mildred Andrews

Mildred Strickland Andrews, 82, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Rd, Macon. Her nephew, Reverend Billy Lowe will officiate. Burial will be immediately following at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home.
Born in Lanier, Georgia, Mildred was the daughter of the late Raleigh Strickland and Mae Hendry. For many years, she worked for Dr. William R. Birdsong. She was a member of Vineville Baptist Church and loved to cook. Her greatest joy in life came from her family. She loved spending time with them any chance she could.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents as well as her loving husband; Grover Cleveland Andrews, Jr. and one son; Ronnie Andrews.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving family. Her children: Barry Andrews (Karen), Nancy Jordan (Robert) and daughter-in-law Lynn Andrews Pinnell (Tim). Six grandchildren; Stacy Alligood (Ron), Chad Goodrich (Regina), Brooke Brower (Chris), Amy Cansler (Andrew), Melissa Strout (Kenny), Chris Rigole and 14 great grandchildren. Mildred's sweet spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Antebellum at Arlington for all the love and care they provided.
