Merry Bohannon

Merry Middlebrooks Bohannon, 75, of Forsyth, Georgia passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Funeral services will be private. Born in Gray, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Carlos Middlebrooks and Ethel Glawson Middlebrooks, and was the widow of John Braxton "Brac" Bohannon. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lois Altman and niece, April Altman. Mrs. Bohannon was a dedicated nurse for over 4 decades. Once obtaining her Master's Degree she went on to become an instructor of nursing at CGTC and was lovingly called "Mrs. Bo" by her students. She was a member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Grace Sunday School Class. She was a volunteer for many years at the Ronald McDonald House after retirement. She was an avid hummingbird watcher and adored her Shih Tzus, Leah and CoCo. She is survived by her children, Beryl Regula(Jennifer); and Meridith Symon(Ted); Grandchildren, Jessica Regula, Gostin Watson, Ridley Symon, Ellie Symon, and Merry Martha Symon. Nieces, Adriane Cook(Ron) and Allison Altman. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Ronald McDonald House, 1160 Forsyth Street Macon, Georgia 31201.
