Merrell G Hall

Merrell G. Hall, age 87, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2026. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family and caregivers after a lengthy illness. Services for Mrs. Hall will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Lawrence Drive Baptist Church with graveside services at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services. Rev. Phil Bryant and Rev. Phillip (Phil) Skelton will officiate.

Mrs. Hall was born in Laurens County but was a lifelong resident of Bibb County. She spent over 30 years as a beautician and co-developer of Liberty Ridge with her husband Oliver. She was a charter member of Lawrence Drive Baptist Church, a regular attendee, and very involved in church activities.

She was a caring & giving person that never met a stranger, always saw the good in all people she engaged with, but had determination and grit. She loved her church, church family, but her greatest joy was her (3) grandchildren: Tanner, Cierra, and Grant

She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles C. Grantham & Dorris H. Grantham of Macon, her husband Oliver Hall of Macon, brothers and sisters, Kathleen Mimbs, Marjorie Stevens, Sarah Bragg, Carolyn Holder all of Macon, and Charles Grantham of Boston

Survivors include her sons Mark (Sheila) Gordon of Macon, Grant (Gina) Gordon of Lizella: Grandchildren Tanner (Christa) Gordon of St. Gabriel, LA. Cierra (Devyn) Anderson of Albuquerque, NM, Grant Gordon of Macon, and a great grandchild Charlotte Gordon, of St. Gabriel, LA. She is also survived by her brother James Grantham of Macon and numerous nieces and nephews.
