Merle Elwood Love, 73, of Macon, formerly of Atlantic City, New Jersey, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Merle was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Donald Scott and Harriet Love. He was a graduate of Atlantic City High School. After his graduation, Merle joined the United States Marine Corps where he served for 3 years during the Vietnam War. After his time in the service Merle worked as a Carpenter, which he enjoyed doing up until his death. He lived the majority of his life in Atlantic City, New Jersey and moved to Macon, Georgia 5 years ago. He was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and was so happy he got to see them win the 2018 Super Bowl. Merle also enjoyed fast expensive cars.
Merle was preceded in death by his parents as well as his two brothers; Donald Love and David Love.
Survivors include his three children; Jackie Bonner (Sean), Joel Love, and Nancy Olevsky. Three grandchildren; Nicole Love, Steven Love, and Dominic Falcone. Brother; Phillip Love, sister-in-law; Shirley Love. Cousin; Bobby Sowers, friend; Tom Fox along with a host of nieces and nephews.
