Melissa Suzzette Austin

Melissa Suzzette Austin (Ritenour), born September 10, 1988, passed away on Tuesday January 20, 2026.

Melissa was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth, quiet strength, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her. She is lovingly survived by her wife Ashley Wright , Sons, Gregory Saxton and Jason Saxton; her Mother, Tracy Wright; her Father William “Bubba” Milner (deceased) and her Brothers, Adam Milner (wife Makayla Dryburgh and Son Anthony Milner) and Christopher Milner (wife Hanna Milner and Daughter Alexis Milner). She is also survived by her aunt Wyndalyn Ezeanya ; her Uncles Tim Ritenour, Chris Austin, and Joey Austin; God Mother Anna Gatlin and many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, friends who remember her fondly; Grand Parents (Deceased).

Melissa brought joy to her family through her kindness, loyalty, and the everyday ways she showed love. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at FairHaven Funeral Home 4989 Mt Pleasant Rd Macon GA 31216. A funeral service will be held immediately after the visitation at 2:00 pm. Friends and family may send flowers or contributions in Melissa’s memory to Fairhaven Funeral Home.
