Maxine Taylor Bivins, age 80 of Crawford County passed away on April 27
th
, 2025, at her residence.
Mrs. Bivins was born in Appling County on December 25, 1944, to the late Albert Taylor and the late Waltine Taylor. Maxine retired from Geico Insurance Company. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a member of Crossroads Bible Church. She was preceded in death by her sister Christine Hutcheson. Survivors include her husband Buddy Bivins, her daughter Kim (Jack) Long of Kathleen, GA, her two sons Tony (Karrie) Carter of Baxley, GA, Eric (Alicia) Carter of Leesburg, GA. Two brothers Clifton (Mary Lee) Taylor of Savannah, GA, Cecil Taylor of Baxley, GA. Ten grandchildren Toni (Will) Riley, Tyler (Kelli) Long, Tayler (Zack) Kinney, Mallory (Daniel) Jones, Kylie Carter, Colby Carter, Dexter (Randi) Carter, Paige (Danny) Dennis, Gia Carter, Evan Carter and nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday May 1, 2025, at FairHaven Funeral Home in Macon, GA with Pastor Chet Cooper officiating and eulogy by Gia Carter. Songs by Mallory Jones and Kylie Carter.
Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Dexter Carter, Tyler Long, Colby Carter, Evan Carter, Zack Kinney and Daniel Jones.
Honorary pallbearers are the loving staff of Family Hospice that took such wonderful care of Maxine.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the time of service.
