Mary Lou Widner, 87, of Macon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 1, 2020. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, with Reverend Chris Dotson officiating. For those unable to attend, the service will be streamed live on Facebook at Fairhaven Funeral Home- Macon page beginning at 2;00 p.m.
Mrs. Widner was born on January 14, 1933 in Fulton, Mississippi to the late Garlin and Flora Bostick. She married the love of her life on November 15, 1953 and together they built a wonderful home. Mrs. Widner was homemaker all her life, caring for her two children and later in life her grandchildren. She was by far her happiest when she was spending time with her family, especially the many night spent at the ballpark watching them play. In her free time she liked to crochet and do crossword puzzles, as well as cook, work in her garden, and watch the Atlanta Braves. Mrs. Widner was a member of Porterfield Baptist Church.
Mrs. Widner was preceded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving family. Her husband; Lonnie Widner. Children; Roger Widner (Debbie) and Donna Hamilton (Keith). Granddaughter; Kimberly Cornwell (Randy). Great grandchildren; Kendra Bostick and Carter Cornwell. Siblings; G. T. "Bugg" Bostick (Katrina), and Faye Crowder as well as her faithful fur babies Honey, Dixie and Otis.
