Mary Outler Turner, 88, of Macon passed away on March 30, 2018. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend Wayne Anthony will officiate.
Born in Bibb County, she was the daughter of the late John Walter and Lena Jackson Outler and widow of the late Alton Grady Turner.
Mrs. Turner was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Porterfield Garden Club, a Master Gardener, and enjoyed collecting varieties of roses and daylilies. She was an accomplished seamstress, an avid reader and enjoyed floral design. Mrs. Turner was retired as a store manager for Macon Feed & Seed.
Survivors include children, Rosemary Turner of Tucker, Patricia Rutland of Dalton, Ruth Turner of Dunwoody, and Kenneth Alton Turner of Macon; grandchildren, Rebecca Rutland and David (Susan) Rutland; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Cate, and Will Rutland; and sister, Johnnie Robertson of Macon.
The family would like to thank the caregivers whose compassion and skilled care gave Mrs. Turner comfort in the last years of her life.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 3 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon.
