Mary Ethel Spruce Hutcheson, 88, of Macon, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024. A private memorial service will be held to honor her life.
Ethel was born on November 1, 1935, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. Thurman Spruce and Mrs. Gladys Spruce. She retired from the Macon Telegraph where she worked as a Single Copy Distributor for eight years. Ethel began her work career as the soda fountain manager at the Roy G Williams Drug Store in Macon for many years. Ethel loved watching Gaither Homecoming videos and was a member of East Macon Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Delmus R. Hutcheson and her aunts, Camille Moore and Thelma Bruce.
Ethel is survived by her son, Delmus T. Hutcheson; nephew, Wayne (Cindy) Hutcheson; great niece Christy (Todd) Gay; and many cousins and friends.
