Mary Elizabeth Finney

d. April 16, 2026

Mary “Lisa” E. Finney, age 59, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend of Navarre, Florida—originally from Macon, Georgia—passed peacefully on April 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. A selfless, family-centered angel, Lisa chose to keep her illness private so she could devote her final days entirely to her children and those she cherished most.
Lisa was born to Dorothy Mae Parks and W.D. Parks and grew up in a close, lively family that shaped her generous heart and unwavering devotion to others. She was preceded in death by her son, Tarver Barton Finney, Jr., and her siblings, Leonard Jack Parks and Dorothy Rene Byrd, both of Macon, Georgia.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tarver Finney, with whom she shared a remarkable love story. The two eloped in 1984, renewed their vows in a full wedding ceremony on their third anniversary, and celebrated again with an Elvis-themed vow renewal in Las Vegas on their 30th anniversary—each moment a testament to their joyful and enduring bond. Their marriage was not only a partnership, but a deep and abiding love that shaped the lives of their children and all who knew them.
Lisa is also survived by her children: Benjamin (Ana) T. Finney, Candis A. Finney, and Jaylynn Parks.
And by her extended family and loved children, each of whom held a special place in her heart: Kenton Englebrecht, Shaun Cleary, and Rachel Frankovich.
Her siblings who continue to honor her memory include: Pearl (Ronnie) White of New Bern, NC, Vicki White of New Bern, NC, Jim (Dale) Wayne Parks of Macon, GA, and Leonard “Wayne” Parks of Knoxville, GA.
Lisa also leaves behind her beloved pets—Gracie and Pnut, her poodles, and Izzy, her Chihuahua—who were constant companions and sources of comfort.
A Master Cosmetologist since 1994, Lisa poured her heart into her work. Her clients were not just clients—they were family. Through kindness, laughter, and genuine care, she built lasting relationships and touched countless lives with her warmth and talent.
More than anything, Lisa loved spending time with her family. Whether it was watching movies, going on shopping trips, enjoying Disney adventures, visiting Universal Studios, or simply gathering together, she found joy in every shared moment. The love she gave so freely will remain a guiding light for her husband and children, whose lives are forever shaped by her strength, devotion, and unwavering care.
On April 15, 2026, Lisa accepted Jesus as her Savior and was baptized—a moment of profound peace and faith for her and her family.
