Ms. Mary Ellen Dortch of Lizella, Georgia passed away on Saturday February 18, 2017 at the age of 68.
Mary Ellen was born to parents Marie Amerson Britt and Bennie E. Britt on December 21, 1949 in Macon, GA. She grew up as the oldest of four children and attended Dudley Hughes High School.
Mary Ellen is survived by her daughter, Amanda Jones; her son, Brian Hudgins; her sister, Rebecca "Becky" Odum (Phillip) ; and her three grandchildren; Kierra Jones, Tylor Hudgins, and Savannah Maples along with several nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Hudgins; her brothers, Paul "Pedro" Britt, Bennie "Jr" Britt and her parents Marie Amerson Curtis and Bennie E. Britt.
A celebration of life is planned for March 4, 2017 at Open Bible Tabernacle in Lizella, GA. Details will be available at a later date.
Mary Ellen had a heart of gold and will be missed by many.
