Mary Chapman-Hanson

Mary Annie Orr Chapman-Hanson, 89, of Macon, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 17, at 2:00 PM in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation on Tuesday, March 16, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at FairHaven Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hanson was born on May 31, 1931, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Charles Elbert Orr and Annie Mae Jones Orr. She was a dedicated hard worker that was self-employed, owning A Flower Cart Floral Shop and Wonderland Daycare. Mrs. Hanson never met a stranger, as she was a loving and caring lady.

Mrs. Hanson was preceded in death by her first husband of 54 years and the love of her life, Lawson Lee "Pop" Chapman; second husband, Jim Hanson; daughters, Jewell Dean Hanson, Mary Joyce Martin, and twin Chapman baby girls; and son, Andrew Lawson Chapman, Sr.

Mrs. Hanson is survived by her grandchildren, Brandi Beatrice Daniels (Skeeter), Andrew Lawson Chapman, Jr. (Tonya), Shannon Lee Martin (Jennifer), Lisa Suttles, and Joli White; and great-grandchildren, Dacey Daniels, Chaz Daniels, Andrew Thomas, Hannah Thomas, Kaitlyn Chapman, Hayley Thomas, Abby Chapman, Madison Chapman, and Blake Chapman.
