Martha Yates

Martha Ann Bembry Yates, 68 of Lizella, Georgia passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018. Funeral services will held Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Evangelical Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Tim Long, Reverend Brian Everett and Reverend Taylor Carter will officiate. The family will have time of visitation on Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. in the church.
Born in Hawkinsville, Ga, she was the daughter of the late John Allen Bembry and Callie Lowell Shipes. She was the office manager for 23 years with Neurology Associates in Macon, and was a member of the First Evangelical Methodist Church, where she attended the Believing Crusaders Sunday School Class and the Golden Heirs Senior Group.
She is survived by her husband, Duane Yates, Son, Andy McKinney, Step-children, Terry Yates, Jr.; Gene Yates, III,(Lacey), Betty Jean Mertens (Herman) and Catherine Yates, David Michaud (Angie). Brother, Thomas Bembry (the late Barbary Bembry); Sisters, Jean Lovik, (Larry), Virginia Miller, and Sarah Mehaffey. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
