Marsha Gail Long Salazar, 58, of Macon, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026. Funeral services to honor her life will be held on Thursday, March 5, at 2:00 Pm in the Chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, with Pastor, Andy Pickens officiating. Immediately following, Mrs. Salazar will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
Mrs. Salazar was born on July 8, 1967, in Macon, Georgia to the late Mr. Herman Earl “DooddleBugg” Long, Jr. and Mrs. Eunice Faustine “Teenie” Bell Long. Gail was a great wife, mother, and caregiver to her mother. She was very family-oriented and loved all her family and her cousins. She was a beautiful, kind, and genuine soul who would give you the clothes off her back if you needed it. She was selfless and found it hard to do things for herself, even though she deserved it and so much more. She was so kind and so bright. She loved listening to old country music, watching wrestling and talking to her favorite cousin, Judy Faye and her Aunt Wanda, with whom she’d often meet with to catch up and play Scrabble.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Salazar was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Earl Long, Sr.
Left to cherish Mrs. Salazar’s memory is her husband Mr. Ernesto Salazar; daughters, Petra Salazar, Tina Salazar, and Becky Salazar; sister, Judy Farr (Jodie).
