Mark Alan Payne, 55, of Macon, Georgia unexpectedly passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023. A memorial service to honor his life will be held Monday, November 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home. The family invites friends to join them one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation. Mr. Earl Smith will officiate.
Mark was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on December 29, 1967, to the late Mr. Ralph Payne, Jr and Mrs. Claudia Jo Hardin. He started his career with Piggly Wiggly at the early age of 17, and was currently the Meat Market Manager. He was a devoted and hard worker. Mark was always there for everyone. He spent loads of time helping out at Bloomfield Little League with his kids and their baseball adventures. Family was everything to him, and he made sure to be present for every moment. He loved playing golf with friends and family and had a knack for making people feel important and loved with each encounter they had with him. Mark was the go-to guy for a good laugh, and his positivity and love touched many lives. He had a way of talking that just made you feel special, important and heard. We'll miss his jokes, his upbeat attitude, and the love he spread to everyone. Above all, the time he spent with his family was the most treasured moments. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Mike and Jamie Payne; and step mother, Cheryl Payne.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of just shy of 35 years, Michelle Moore Payne; his children, Tyler (Francisca) Payne and Kyle Payne; brother, Drew (Tram) Brown; sisters, Mandy (Steve) Poff and Amy (Jeff) Craig; grandson, Ari Payne and a special grand daughter on the way, Baby Freya; his family and devoted customers at Piggly Wiggly store 593; and a host of nieces and nephews.
