Mark Matthew Hopper, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024. A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM at New Elim Baptist Church. Pastor Johnny Baggett will officiate.
Mark was born in Nashville, Tennessee on January 13, 1964, to the late Mr. Cecil Edgar Hopper and Mrs. Reba Grisham Hopper. Mark was a down to earth, hardworking, passionate man. He liked to get his hands dirty, always working on cars. When his health declined, he used his sickness to spread awareness about Tracheostomy, and aimed to teach children that it is nothing to be afraid of. He would talk to everyone, smile at everyone and never met a stranger. He was a beam of light and will be missed tremendously.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Artie Hopper; son, Isaac Hopper; daughters, Roberta McAllaster, Vanessa Hodgin, Natasha Dakon; 10 grand children and 6 great grandchildren.
