Marion Williams

November 30, 1966 — June 5, 2023

Marion "Tripp" Carlos Williams, III., 56, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, June 5, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 24th at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, at United Community Church: 2411 Heath Rd Macon, GA 31206. All friends & family are welcome to join us.

Mr. "Tripp" Williams was born in Macon, Georgia, to Mr. Marion Carlos "Bugs" Williams, Jr., and Mrs. Peggy Allene Wilder Williams. Tripp was a former truck driver for Prime Incorporation for over a decade. As much as he loved traveling and seeing this great country, he was always eager to get home to his beloved wife, Jennifer, and daughter, Megan.

Tripp, a devout Christian, will always be remembered and deeply appreciated as a sensitive, caring, unselfish, hardworking provider. Together with his lifelong sweetheart, Tripp was first and foremost a family man. Known as the jokester who kept everyone laughing, Tripp kept his amazing sense of humor even while battling a serious illness for over 5 years. "He always knew how to make everyone around him feel happy, and forget their troubles," friends and family say.

In his youth, Tripp excelled in football and baseball at Chapel Hill Academy before graduating from Southwest High School. He was also gifted in the love of music and was known to pick a tune or two on his guitar. In later years, unable to attend church in person, he never missed a Sunday sermon online.

In addition to his Mother, Tripp is preceded in death by; mother in law, Nancy Riezinger Cates; brother in law, Wiley Lewis.

Left to cherish Tripp's memory is his loving wife of 26 years, Jennifer Cates Williams; daughter, Megan Leighanna Williams (Dillon Donaldson); Father, Marion Carlos "Bugs" Williams, Jr.; siblings, Troy Williams (Mary), Shannon Wilder (Charles), and Kema Combes (Mike); sisters' in law, Denise Lewis and Stephanie Cates-Willis (Jimmy), many nieces and nephews, and loving friends.
