Marie Warnock Bracewell, a long-time resident of East Dublin, passed away Saturday the 25th of April at Serenity Hospice.
Mrs. Bracewell was born on February 7, 1933 to E.B. and Pearl Warnock in Dublin, Ga.
She was a graduate of Condor High School and earned a Bachelors degree in Education from Ga Teachers College in Statesboro. She taught school until she met and married the love of her life who was a CPO in the Navy and traveled the world as they started their family. She was also the owner/operator of Warnock's grocery in East Dublin for many years. She loved making flower arrangements, cooking for her family, taking care of other people, and being surrounded by her loved ones. She was a member of Union Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and president of WMU for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W. Bracewell Sr.; her son, Herbert W. Bracewell Jr.; her parents, E.B. and Pearl Warnock; and her brothers, Cleve and Clinton Warnock.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Ricky Lowe and Cherie and Al Scoggins; Grandchildren, Christa and Allen Coleman, Cyle and Edi Hodges, Alec Scoggins, Rachael and Justin Rogers, Kevin Lowe, Deb Collins, Rick and Heather Lowe, Lexie Bracewell; Great-grandchildren, Devin Overstreet, Tatum, Braylee and Michael Coleman, Jackson and Tyler Hodges, Maddie and Emma Rogers, Dylan, Devyn and Kylie Lowe, Allison and Will Collins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in her name to one of her 2 favorite charities. The American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
