Margaret Bridges

Margaret Morgan Bridges, 90, of Macon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 20, 2023. The family will have a time of visitation on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home before making their way in procession to Macon Memorial Park Cemetery for a graveside service beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Mrs. Bridges was born on April 9, 1933 in Johnson County, Georgia to the late Clifford Morgan and Martha Haywood Morgan. Mrs. Bridges was married to her loving husband; James Richard Bridges, Sr. for 46 years. She worked all her life at Robins Air Force Base in multiple positions, including civil service and different contractors. This career lasted until her eighties; she retired for the last time at the age of 85. Her work ethic was unlike any other. She worked hard to provide for her family and always made sure they were taken care of. Her life revolved around her family. They were her everything. She always made sure their holidays and birthdays were special. In her free time, she loved working outside in her yard and flower beds. To say she was independent would be an understatement.

Mrs. Bridges was preceded in death by her parents, husband; James Richard Bridges, Sr. and one grandson; Andy Bridges. She was also the last living sibling, being preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Bridges is survived by her children; Richard Bridges (Pansy), Rex Bridges (Ruth Bennett), Regina Ladson ( Jerrold), Robin Bridges and Elise Bridges. Grandchildren; Laura Bridges, Michael Bridges (Chelsea), Shannon Davis (Tiffany), Coey Ladson (Sonia Hinson), Stacy Douglas (Charlie) as well as six great grandchildren.
