Marcia Bryant Hinson, 71, of Byron passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Funeral Services to honor her life will be held Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon with Reverend Brad Blackman and Zeke DeLafuente officiating. Burial will be immediately following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Marcia was born in Bleckley County to the late Jack and Annie Bryant. She attended Byron Baptist Church and was a member of the Sunshine Scatters Sunday School Class. Marcia loved to cook and bake, but was known for her fabulous cakes. She enjoyed taking care of everyone she met and to know her was to love her. She is preceded in death her husband Doyle "Bud" Hinson.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her two sons, Greg (Deede) Hinson of Columbus and Chuck Hinson of Byron. Two Grandchildren, Brad Hinson of Atlanta and Brittany Hinson of Macon. Brothers, Harvey (Rosa) Bryant of Byron, Billy Ray Bryant (Elaine) of Hawkinsville and Bobby Bryant (Eva) of Cochran. Sisters, Edna (Leman) Brady, Linda Slaughter, Rachel Bryant, and Becky Bryant all of Cochran, and Jacklyne Smith of Conley. As well as several nieces and nephews. But Marcia will be missed by all who knew her.
Flowers are accepted or a donation may be made in Marcia Hinsons honor to the Sunshine Scatters Sunday School class at Byron Baptist Church, 100 West White Road, Byron, GA 31008.
