Madelene Welch

Madelene Elizabeth Hester Welch, 78, of Macon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 11, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 16, at 11:00 AM in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Dublin, Georgia.

Ms. Welch was born on November 13, 1942, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Samuel B. Hester and Frances Lue Harrell Hester. She was retired from Brown and Williamson. Ms. Welch was a member of New Elim Baptist Church. She spent much of her free time researching Genealogy. Ms. Welch loved her family dearly. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Ms. Welch was preceded in death by her brother, Sammy Hester.

Left to cherish Ms. Welch's memory is her daughters, Julie Johnson (Tim) and Pam Griffin; son, Randy Welch (Tammy); grandchildren, Stephanie Freed (Kory), Beth Futrell (John), Tony Griffin (Lindsay), Steven Griffin (Amber), Danielle Ayers (Rusty), Tristan Welch, and Morgan Welch; great-grandchildren, Nick Landon, Emily McGrath, Ayden Griffin, Riley Griffin, Elli Ayers, Brantley Griffin, Cole Futrell, Grace Ayers, Kensleigh Ayers, and Abby Griffin; sisters, Alice Vissage (Charles), Marcenia Desroches (Don), Peggy Rambeau, Michelle Lanier (Darrell), Darnell Miller (Jerry); sister-in-law, Jan Hester; and several nieces and nephews.
