Lynda Phillips

d. December 30, 2025

Lynda Patricia Phillips, 82, of Macon, Georgia, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. A Funeral to honor her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, at Lizella Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Chris Minton will officiate all services.

Lynda was born on October 15, 1943, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Mr. John Emory Reeves, Sr. and Mrs. Vivian Roberts Reeves.

A woman of strong faith and even stronger spirit, Lynda loved her Lord deeply and faithfully served Him through song as a member of the church choir. She was known for her sweet and kind heart, her fierce determination, and for being the unquestioned boss of her family, a role she embraced with love and confidence.

Lynda found great joy in baking and cooking and was especially famous for her red velvet cake, which was so good it was often said you could eat yourself sick on it. She delighted in caring for others through her food and hospitality. She owned and operated a wedding catering business for 18 years spreading joy through her talents. She also dearly loved her beloved Shih Tzu dogs and had a memorable song she sang just for them, one that always brought smiles to those who heard it.

She cherished reminiscing about special moments, including a treasured trip to Chicago with her sister Barbara to attend a cake decorating class, a memory she loved to share. Whether through stories, laughter, or song, Lynda had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Keith Phillips, and her brother-in-law, Charles Carter.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 65 years, Ronald Phillips; her sister, Barbara Carter; brothers, Gerry Reeves (Kathy) and John Reeves (Carol); and a loving extended family, who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

Lynda Patricia Phillips will be remembered for her faith, her strength, her kindness, and the love she poured into her family, her church, and all who were blessed to know her.
