It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Lynda Gayle Bass Frazier, known to all as "Gayle." Age 76, of Lake Sinclair, Gayle passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, surrounded by her family. A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at FairHaven Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Born on September 4, 1949, to Dan Elex and Gladys Jones Bass, Gayle dedicated her life to her family and her beloved fur baby, Precious and her grand-pup, Griffin. She was known for her unwavering strength, gentle soul, and nurturing spirit. Always the calm in the chaos. She found great joy in reading her Bible, crafting, enjoying the natural beauty of Lake Sinclair and showing affection to her pups. As an avid sports fan, she never missed a chance to cheer on the Georgia Bulldogs, the Dallas Cowboys, or the Atlanta Braves.
Gayle is survived by her daughter, Amy Thomas (Eddie); her last living sibling and sister, Elizabeth Davis; and her grandchildren, James Lumley (Amber), Chris Ethridge (Tori), and Stephanie Lumley. Her great-grandchildren: Kensleigh Morgan, Kason Lumley and Kamryn Lumley and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her loving companion Neal Pope; her son, Wendell Bass; her grandson, Josh Ethridge; her parents; her brothers, Cecil, Durvis, and Willis Joseph "Coot" Bass; and her first fur baby, Gizmo.
Though she will be missed, she will be remembered by her affection, love and devotion to her family and pups.
