Lewis Anthony Davis was born December 8, 1930, to Sarah Bernice (Lewis) Davis and John Marvin Davis, in Wrightsville, GA. Moving with his brother, John Marvin Jr., Lewis made Macon, GA his home. Early in his adult life, Lewis joined the US Navy as a Master Electrician, obtaining the rank of Petty Office. He served in the US Navy for 4 years. During this time, he was given the nickname "Tee" due to love for sweet tea. A true southerner, indeed. After his time in the Armed Forces, he married the love of his life, Loretta Carolyn (Newsom) Davis, until her homegoing 56 years later. In June of 1960, they welcomed their twin sons, Kenneth (Kenny) and John (Denny) Davis, in Macon, GA. Early in their marriage, Lewis served as a license Electrician, furthering his expertise from his military service. He later gained employment with Purina for 38 years, where he retired. Lewis was not shy of hard work and dedicated his life to supporting his family and friends. In his final moments, he shared his love for all and his gratitude for the times shared with everyone in his life.
Lewis is preceded in death by his mother and father, Bernice and John, his brother, John Marvin Jr., his wife, Carolyn, and his son, Kenneth.

He is survived by his son, John Davis (Laura), his granddaughter, Laura Davis Denson (Daryl), grandson, Michael Britton- Eisman (Charles). Great-grandsons, DeMarcus and Damian Denson, his nieces, Renee Davis Kennington and Marshan Davis Morlan and Deborah Newsom McCracken (Robert), along with many nieces and nephews and friends.
