Mr. Hobbs was born on November 2, 1956, in Macon, Georgia. From an early age, he developed a strong work ethic that would define much of his life. He dedicated his career to the glass industry, a craft he took great pride in, and his work allowed him to travel throughout Georgia, meeting people from all walks of life and leaving a lasting impression wherever he went.

Beyond his work, Mr. Hobbs was known for his deep love and devotion to his family. He was a wonderful and selfless caregiver, especially to his beloved wife, whom he adored, and to his mother, whom he cherished dearly. He consistently placed their needs above his own, offering unwavering support, patience, and compassion. Whether in moments of difficulty or in the quiet routines of daily life, he was a steady and dependable presence, always ready to give of himself without hesitation. His care was not only a duty, but a true expression of his love and character.

Mr. Hobbs had a deep appreciation for automobiles. He found great enjoyment in watching car auctions, especially Barrett-Jackson and Mecum, where he admired both the craftsmanship and history of classic vehicles. His passion extended to motorsports as well, as he was a devoted NASCAR fan who rarely missed a race.

Music was another constant source of joy in his life. He especially loved classic rock, often filling his days with the familiar sounds of his favorite artists. Those who knew him well also remember his remarkable memory, particularly his ability to recall specific dates and moments with striking accuracy, an ability that often surprised and impressed family and friends.

Mr. Hobbs will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his passions, and the unique qualities that made him truly one of a kind.

Mr. Hobbs was preceded in death by his father, Walter Guy Hobbs, Sr.; sister, Angela Joan Hobbs Johnson; and brother, Watler “Guy” Hobbs, Jr.

Left to cherish Mr. Hobbs memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Charlene Tidwell Hobbs; mother, Sheila Struggles Hobbs; brother, Glenn Hobbs (Terri); and a host of extended family members.
