Laura Ferguson

Laura Green Ferguson was called to be with the Lord on January 6, 2022. A memorial service in her honor will be held January 15, 2022 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mt Pleasant Church Rd, Macon, GA 31216. Visitation will be at 1:00, followed by a service at 2:00 with the Reverend Mark Magoni officiating.
Laura was born May 30, 1964 in Gainesville, Florida. She graduated from Stratford Academy and received degrees from Mercer University and Vanderbilt University. She began working at Bel Arbor Nursing Home while she was a high school student and later became a nursing home administrator, working over 30 years in the industry. She was currently employed by State Farm Insurance.
Laura is survived by: her parents, Linda and Terrel Green; her children, Hannah and Andy Ferguson; a sister, Leigh Ann Junod (Michael); niece and god-daughter, Sara Junod; and niece, Amelia Junod: and numerous family members.
Laura was a beloved daughter who loved her children dearly. She was a tender and passionate person. She loved taking trips to the beach and watching the sun rise over the ocean. She loved the company of her dog, Heidi, and would play with her often. Over the years she helped many families who had loved ones in her nursing home. Her kindness was a gift to many. She was an organ donor who now lives on in others.
