Kemen Miller

January 31, 1958 — July 23, 2016

Kemen James Miller, 58, passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Emory University Hospital. Funeral Services to honor his life will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will be immediately following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends Friday, July 29, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Rd, Macon.
Born in Winnebago, Nebraska to George Enos Miller and Chloe Penn Bell, Kemen was a member of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska. He proudly served our country for 14 years in the United States Air Force and spent time in Korea. After his time in the service Kemen became an educator and was employed with several different schools throughout his life. Some including Winship Elementary and Westside High School. Most recently Kemen was the Assistant Principal at Crawford County Middle School. He was very involved with school activities and at one time coached football, wrestling, and track. In his spare time Kemen was an avid fisherman and thoroughly enjoyed his time fishing. He made an impact on the lives of students he taught and coached and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Kemen was preceded in death by his father, George Enos Miller. Left to cherish his memory is his loving family. Children; Ashley Bush (Matthew), and Ross Miller. One Grandchild; Ellison Lane Bush. Mother; Chloe Penn Bell. His significant other; Carol Wynn and Carol's Daughter, Merry Cameron. The Mother of his children; Jayne Miller and Six Siblings; Wade Bell, Sharon Boegel, Kim Bell, Carmen Bell, Tammy Mitchell, and Leslie Bell.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that donations be made in his honor The American Indian College Fund, 8333 Greenwood Blvd, Denver, CO 80221 or to Crawford County Middle School to help with the addition of a new weight room.
