Katrina Avera

June 10, 1966 — July 31, 2024

Katrina Lena Avera, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 1:30 PM at Fairhaven Funeral Home. The family invites friends to join them one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation. Pastor Benny Tate will officiate.

Katrina was born on June 10, 1966, in Macon, Georgia to the late Mr. John Green Avera and Mrs. Frances Juanita Brown. She was a devoted hairdresser for many years and was passionate about making others feel beautiful. She enjoyed pampering herself too, always having beautiful hair and the prettiest nails. Katrina was a simple woman who enjoyed all that life had to offer. Crocheting, crafts and animals could always bring her a smile. Katrina's creative mind, heart of gold, and kind spirit will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Harold Phillip Avera.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Kindle Busbee; nieces, Darlene Juanita Klausen (Michael), Kodie Busbee Horne (Stephen Horne), Anna Leah King (Michael), Hailey Floyd (Tim); brother, Dave G. Avera; friends, Tanya Sowash, Lisa Wade, Belinda Thornton, Melanie Reasor; and her cats that she adored.
