Kathy DiAnn (McFall) Buckalew, 62, of Crawford County passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 14, 2024. The family invites friends to join them for a time of visitation on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Fairhaven Funeral Home. Immediately following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at 12:30 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Pastor Steven Waller will officiate.
Kathy was born on November 7, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan to Daniel and Angella (Mullins) McFall. Kathy spent her early years in Michigan where she met and married Albert Earl Buckalew in 1986. After the birth of their first son, Albert, Kathy and Al spent time in New York before settling in Georgia where they welcomed their second son, Justin. Kathy worked in the deli at Food Lyon and managed the deli at Piggly Wiggly and Freshway. Most recently, Kathy worked in the kitchen at Thompson Middle School in Centerville, Georgia. Kathy was very active in the Hartley Bridge Road Church of Christ where she was a beloved member and enjoyed volunteering and spending time with her brothers and sisters in Christ.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Earl Buckalew; mother, Angella, and son, Jesse Lyle Sallie.
Left to cherish her memory is her father, Daniel; sons, Albert and Justin; brother, Keith McFall; sisters, Karen Hawkins (John) and Kristie McFall; and grandchildren Ryan, Emma, Jacob, Lily, Bella, and Lucas.
