Karen Sue Deaton, 72, of Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2022. A graveside service to honor her life will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11a.m., at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Deaton was born in Lubbock, Texas to Mr. Dean Sterling and Mrs. Sue Harris Sterling. She was a member of Cochran Field Church of God. She loved to shop and finding a bargain was even better. Vacationing to the mountains always made her happy. Pigeon Forge was a favorite spot. She also enjoyed crafts but her family was her greatest joy.
Ms. Deaton is preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Randy Deaton as well as her parents.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Blandi Dykes (Gregory); two sons: Claude Dean Deaton and Randall Wesley Deaton (Jennifer); a brother, Wynn Sterling (Becky); a sister, Micki Weintraub (Richard); and a sister-in-law, Wanda Deaton. She also leaves behind eleven grand-children: Kory Deaton, Dylan McElmurray, Sydney McElmurray, Andrea Deaton, Nicholas Peavy, Mackenzie Peavy, Alyssa Deaton, Aidan Deaton, Blake Deaton-Bradley, Cole Deaton-Bradley, Devin Deaton-Bradley; and two great-grandchildren: Scarlet Rose Deaton and Ellie Thompson, and several Nieces and Nephews. However, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
