Karean Rebecca "Becky" Woodruff, 71, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020. A Graveside Memorial Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020, at 2:00 pm at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Close family friend,William C. "Bill" Pilcher, will officiate.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, and the guidelines of the CDC, guests are requested to wear a Facemask and to practice Social Distancing. Chairs will be set up appropriately by the funeral directors to allow you to do so.
Born in Macon, Georgia, Rebecca was the daughter of the late Nathan Forte Woodruff, Sr. and Katherine Googe Woodruff. She was formerly employed as a data processor in the Atlanta area. More recently, she served as a Professional Caregiver, for Foster Children for untold numbers of infants, children & teenagers throughout the Middle Georgia area. "Her babies" as she lovingly called them, were her passion. She adored them, as they did her.
Rebecca graduated from McEvoy High School in Macon, in the class of 1968, where she was a member of TOP sorority. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Macon.
Rebecca is survived by her brother, Nathan Forte Woodruff, Jr., and cousins, Sandy Wolf Herring, Chuck Wolf (Karen), Herbie Googe (Connie) and a number of other cousins.
Rebecca was diagnosed with the rare eye disease, Retinitis Pigmentosa in 1980, which led to her total blindness.
