Josephine S. Kitchens

Josephine Simmons Kitchens passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026 in Macon Georgia at the age of 86.

Born August 2nd, 1939 in Gray, Georgia, Josie, as she was known to her friends, was the daughter of the late James Melton Simmons and Bennie Sheffield Simmons. She was preceeded by her brothers, James and Raymond Simmons, and sisters, Jennelle Simmons, Sara Wilde, and Shirley Beals, and dear sister in law, Cleo Simmons (James).

Remaining to cherish her memory are her beloved sons, Craig Hamilton and Michael Kitchens (Macon), her older sister, Bettie Rose Addleton (Macon), and younger sister, Mary Frances Musumici (New Hampshire), and many neices and nephews.
