Joseph Roberts

Joseph Deitz Roberts, 78, of Macon, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022. Funeral services will be private. In leu of services Jason Roberts will be setting up a charity fund for Alzheimers in Joe's name.

Mr. Roberts was born on March 1, 1944, Union, South Carolina, to the late Mr. Flay Roberts and Mrs. Viola Deitz. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years and served in Vietnam. Joe was a strong-willed, God-fearing man that believed in hard work and dedication to his family, friends, and Country.

Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his father, Flay Roberts; Mother, Viola Deitz Roberts; brothers, Bill, Cyrus, Mike, Jack, Shadwell, George; sisters, Fay, Evelyn, Rachel; and grandson, Zach Bowman.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce Mason Roberts; children, Jason Roberts and his wife Lisa, Jennifer Young and her husband Brian; grandchildren, Brittany Watson, Josh Lewis, Jeremy Lewis, Brian Young Jr, Shelby Young, and Rebecca Hill.
