Josefa Sanchez

Josefa Maldonado Sanchez, or Ms. Josie as she was lovingly known to most 65, of Macon, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 2:00PM at Forest Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeremy Wilson officiating. The family will have a time of visitation with friends 1 hour prior to service time. Immediately following the service, Josefa will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Ms. Josie was born on October 10, 1957, in Taretan, Michoacàn, Mexico to David and Carmen Ramos. She worked as a custodian for Westside High School for over 10 years, and previously as a nutrionist at Bel Arbor Nursing Home. Josefa worked hard to provide for her family, and never missed a opportunity to tell anyone about them. She was the most kind and giving person you ever met. There wasn't a charity that she didn't donate to and was always willing to help anyone in need. In her free time, she loved working in her garden, tending to her roses, stopping at every good yard sale, doing crosswords and watching T.V., especially Kung Fu Movies. Above everything, she loved spending time with her family, they were the light of her life. Her sweet spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Josefa was preceded in death by her father as well as her siblings Gregorio Maldonado Ramos and Jose Guadalupe Maldonado Ramos.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving family; Her Children; Miriam Sanchez (Zachary), Dahlia Sanchez, Carlos Sanchez and Erick Sanchez. Mother; Carmen Ramos and Siblings Ofelia, Eva, Antonio, Evelia, Irene, Bernarda, Rosa Elia, Emma.
