Johnnie Belle Seley, 97, of Macon, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 1, 2026. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family invites friends to join them one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation. Pastor Ronnie Hollis Jr. will be officiating all services.
Johnnie was born on June 2, 1929, in Thomaston, Georgia, to the late Mr. John Hullett and Mrs. Mattie Patrick Hullett. A woman of strong faith, Johnnie loved her Lord and was saved. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she carried that love and devotion with her throughout her 97 years.
Johnnie was a woman who truly enjoyed life. She loved working crossword puzzles and playing bingo, and she especially loved to travel. Whether near or far, Johnnie was always ready for an adventure. She was an early riser who greeted each day with excitement and an abundance of energy. She was known for being incredibly active and energetic, so much so that she could outrun just about anybody! Her love of staying active continued throughout her life, and later in life she even formed a walking club with friends, spending time walking the mall and enjoying the fellowship along the way.
Johnnie was preceded in death by her loving husband of more than 50 years, Marvin Seley; her brothers, Lavern Hullett and Earmon Hullett; and her sisters, Susie McLeod and Maude Gladney.
Those left to cherish the beautiful memory of Johnnie include her son, Ronald (Kim) Seley; grandchildren, Lee (Katie) Seley and Clay Faulk; great-grandchild, Ivy Faulk; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever remember her loving spirit, energetic personality, strong faith, and zest for life.
Johnnie lived a long and meaningful life filled with faith, family, laughter, friendship, and countless memories. Though she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior, where she will never grow weary and where her joy will never end.
