Joanne Blackmon Rumney, 78, of Forsyth, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 4, 2019. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be immediately following in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Joe Butterworth and Billy Goudeau will officiate.
Joanne was born on March 28, 1940 in Houston County, Georgia to the late Clouse E. Blackmon and Ruth Powell Blackmon. She was proud to be a former Ms. Dooley County and was just as beautiful on the inside as on the outside. She worked tirelessly as a homemaker for the majority of her life and enjoyed cooking as well as cleaning. Joanne loved to Ballroom dance, and that was how she met her husband of almost 20 years. She loved showing off her dancing skills at Barrett Jackson Auctions as well as attending NASCAR races.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents as well as one son; Tim Everidge
Left to cherish her memory is her loving family. Her husband; Donald Rumney, Sr. Stepchildren; Donna Rumney and Donald Rumney, Jr. Children; Glenn Everidge, Wendy Cape, and Lori Hagen (Jimmy). Six grandchildren and one step grandchild; Dakota Peacock and multiple great grandchildren.
