Joan Anita Coone Jones of Farr West, Utah passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. The family would like to invite friends to join them for a time of visitation on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Fairhaven Funeral Home. A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM at First Evangelistic Church. Immediately following the service, she will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Reverend Fred Anderson will officiate the services.
Joan was born in Macon, Georgia on September 23, 1963, to the late Mr. Horace Clem Coone and Mrs. Peggy Jeanette Edwards Coone. Joan was a truly remarkable woman whose life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and deep love for everyone she encountered. She was a devoted attendee of First Evangelistic Church, a place she grew to love dearly, especially after she began taking her mother there. Before finding her home at First Evangelistic, Joan was a cherished member of Central Fellowship Christian Church, where she had already established strong bonds within the church body. Joan had a gift for giving, and she was known for buying the most thoughtful and meaningful gifts for her loved ones. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she always made those around her feel special and valued. Above all, Joan was a dedicated mother and grandmother, with a particular love for her grandsons, whom she cherished deeply. She was a constant presence in her children's lives, always ready to lend a hand or offer a listening ear. If you needed her, she was there, and there was never a question about that. Through the hardest of times, especially her battle with cancer, Joan showed incredible resilience, strength, and courage, never wavering in her faith or spirit. She was an overcomer. She overcame cancer in the most profound way, by entering heaven with grace and peace, after a battle that truly never stopped her. Joan was a woman of prayer, constantly seeking to grow closer to the Lord through her actions, her words, and the love she shared with everyone she met. Her legacy of faith, love, and unwavering devotion will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memories, hold onto her gifts, and continue to live on through her is her loving husband of 35 years, Joseph Jones; daughters, Jeanette Liebsack (Stephen), Ashley Kimberl (David), Brittany Roberts (Trevor), and Rachel Garner (Nathaniel); brothers, Kenneth Coone, Jerry Coone (Gwen) and Steve Coone (Ginger); grandsons, Eli and Tripp; her childrens grandmothers, Carmen Jones and Sammy Diggins; and her faithful fur baby, Chipper.
