Joan Hardy

Joan Ann Pickelsimer Hardy, 82, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, February 16, at 11:30 AM at New Heights Church with, Pastor, David Garrett officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Burial will be private.

Joan was born on September 28, 1941. She was a faithful member of New Heights Church. Joan spent most of her life as a devoted homemaker. She created a warm, loving, and safe home for her family and exemplified her devotion to them daily. She instilled many characteristics that her family will cherish forever. They were the light of Joan's life and she will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Fred Alton Hardy, Jr.; sister, Helen Pickelsimer; brother, Claude "Junior" Pickelsimer; and brother-in-law, Sydney Hardy. Left to cherish her precious memory is her daughter, Joanna Hardy; son, Lance Hardy; brother, Buddy (Maggie) Picklesimer; sister-in-law, Dot Hardy; brothers-in-law, James (Dana) Hardy, Charles Hardy; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests donations be made in Mrs. Hardy's memory to: New Heights Church, 158 Lamar Road, Macon, GA 31220.
