Jimmy Peace

Jimmy Peace, 82 of Macon, Georgia passed away Friday, February 5, 2016. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the United Community Church, Heath Road. Burial will be in the Mount Olive Church of the Nazarene in Scott, Georgia at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Cory Maurer and Pastor Jim Johnson will officiate.Visitation will be held Monday, February 8, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in Fairhaven Funeral Home.
Born in Wheeler County, he was the son of the late Leonard Peace and Leland Youmans Peace. He was a member of the United Community Church and was retired from Armstrong World Industries He was an avid southern gospel singer and loved coaching his daughter in softball and playing on the Armstrong Industries Softball Team. Mr. Peace served in the United States Air Force and was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Odom.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Peace of Macon, Children, Mike Peace (Teresa) of Forsyth, Ga.; Paula Probert of Macon, Brandi Spillman(Chris) of Wichita, Kansas. Son in law, Doug Odom of Macon. Six grandchildren and Fifteen great grandchildren.
