Jimmy "Jim" Johnson, 69, of Byron, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 17, at 2:00 PM in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Johnson was born on February 1, 1952, in Perry, Georgia, to the late James Benjamin Johnson and Willa Mae Rollins Johnson. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War, in the United States Army. After his military career, he continued to support United States Military Veterans. Mr. Johnson was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He liked anything to do with automobiles, especially antique cars and his dream truck, his Toyota Tacoma. Mr. Johnson loved his family dearly; spending time with them was his greatest joy.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra Johnson; daughters, Heather Renee Thompson (Dennis) and Michelle Lee Johnson (Eli); grandchildren, Sarah Michelle Thompson, Gracie Renee Thompson, Summer Skye Hall, and Jacob James Hall; and many extended family members.
